Filmmakers Network

In order to better support emerging Cuban filmmakers, AMI has begun discussions with North American based bilingual filmmakers and editors to create a documentary filmmakers network. Members of the network would be available for remote feedback sessions on documentaries in production, although the focus of the network would initially be on editing and post-production. By connecting emerging filmmakers with their more experienced peers in the U.S., Canada and Mexico we open up the possibilities for Cuban filmmakers to tell their own stories, complete their films and maximize their ability to get distribution to international audiences. The network will also work to expand ongoing communication and collaboration between filmmakers in Cuba and North America.
