In the U.S., AMI has facilitated 14 tours with Cuban filmmakers presenting their films in universities, museums, cultural centers, conferences and urban gardens across the country. We have organized two separate programs at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City, and brought Cuban filmmakers Gustavo Pérez, and Gloria Rolando to the renowned Flaherty Seminar in 2012. Some of the Cuban filmmakers we have invited to the U.S. since 2011 include; Carlos Rodriguez from TV Serrana (a community media project based in the Sierra Maestra Mountains), Rigoberto Jiménez, Karel Ducasse, Marilyn Solaya, Ariagna Fajardo, Armando Capó, Alejandro Ramirez, Marcel Beltran, Damian Sainz, and animator Ivette Avila.
